Emily Haas is the Director of Programs with BioNexus KC. Emily is a Kansas City native excited to drive healthcare innovation in the Midwest. She brings her unique background in education and healthcare to envision and advance the life-sciences and digital health ecosystem in KC. 

Emily received her Master's in Health Services Administration from The University of Kansas Medical Center and completed her Administrative Fellowship at UT Southwestern Medical Center. Most recently, Emily worked at Saint Luke’s Health System in Kansas City developing programs and executing strategic initiatives for the cardiovascular service line. 

In this role, Emily’s goal is to place KC on the map through research collaboration, workforce development, and community engagement. She specializes in project management and lean principles, and she looks forward to giving back to her community and helping it to thrive as a destination place to live and work. 

Emily enjoys a challenge in the kitchen and savors the chance to try new recipes. A trip to Italy inspired her recent curiosity for making homemade pastas and sauces. On the weekends, you’ll find her at local farmer’s markets searching for clean, local ingredients for her latest recipe!
