Position: Marketing Coordinator

Reports To: Director of Marketing | BioNexus KC

FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Compensation Range: $48,000 – $55,000, based on experience
This position is full time and eligible for benefits.

Overview

Are you a creative multitasker with 1-3 years of experience in marketing and communications? Do you want to help advance the strategic life sciences priorities in the ethnically diverse Kansas City region? If so, we want you!

BioNexus KC is working on several new initiatives with diverse and multi-cultural marketing needs. We are searching for a passionate Marketing Coordinator to join our team and support these initiatives. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to make a significant impact for the region’s life sciences through:

• Event Assistance
• Analytics & SEO

 

Responsibilities

Content Creation
Write captivating content for social media, email newsletters, web articles, reports, and more
Maintain a consistent brand voice and tone, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
Curate a content calendar and schedule to ensure timely and consistent delivery across all relevant channels
Coordinate and assist with marketing communications, and public relations activities both external and internal
Write various news releases and articles promoting the region

Social Media Marketing
Manage and grow our social media presence
Create and schedule posts for LinkedIn and Twitter
Analyze & report on performance metrics to optimize strategies & engagement
Design engaging and relevant graphics for social media, ensuring use of brand standards

Email Marketing
Work closely with Director of Marketing to plan, design, and execute email marketing newsletters
Analyze email campaign performance and make data-driven recommendations for improvement including A/B testing and segmentation

Events
Assist in planning and coordinating multiple events ranging from 50 – 500 people
Provide support for all event setup, operation, and breakdown
Willingness to work outside of regular business hours to assist with events as needed

General Marketing
Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives are achieved
Work closely with all team members to assist with marketing and communications as needed
Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and reviewing materials
Stay on top of marketing trends and actively share new insights with team

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or 1-3 years of unique professional experience in:
Managing social media platforms
Writing engaging articles and copy
Assisting with website updates
Coordinating events
Excellent writing and editing skills

Preferred:
Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, WordPress, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, LinkedIn, Twitter
Knowledge in Google Analytics, Salesforce, Guidebook
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Excellent responsiveness, organization, and time management skills
Motivated to learn and grow professionally
