Physician Educator Gives $1 Million for Health Education Building

Diane J. Klepper, a pulmonologist and educator from Albuquerque, New Mexico and a KU graduate, gifted $1 million to the KU Endowment. The gift supports the construction of a Health Education Building on the corner of 39th Street and Rainbow Boulevard in Kansas City. Learn More >

A Team Led by Dr. John Spertus at Saint Luke’s Hospital is Seeking to Calculate the Risks of Administering tPA During Stroke

A drug called tissue plasminogen activator, or tPA, dissolves blood clots in the brain and is the first line treatment for stroke. While the drug has been around for two decades, it hasn’t been widely adopted because it can cause catastrophic bleeding in the brain. Research is underway to calculate the risk of administering tPA and give physicians more confidence. Learn More >

School of Pharmacy Student Develops Health App

Dakota Rosenfelt, a first-year PharmD student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy, has developed an app called HemoTool that allows hemophiliacs like himself to successfully manage their disorder. Learn More >
