University of Kansas Cancer Center Receives Renewal of National Cancer Institute Designation and Announces Approval of Children’s Mercy as Official Consortium Partner
The University of Kansas Cancer Center announced that the National Cancer Institute (NCI) renewed its national cancer center designation for five years and that Children’s Mercy has been formally approved as a cancer center consortium partner. KCU Class of 2018 Ranks Highest in the Nation on Osteopathic Medical Licensing Exam
KCU’s osteopathic medical students from the Class of 2018 have ranked number one in the nation for first-attempt pass rates on the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Exam (COMLEX) Level 1. The National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners just released the national averages and rankings of 35 osteopathic medical schools from across the country, with 98.82 percent of KCU’s class passing the exam on the first attempt, compared to an average of 92.70 percent nationally; KCU’s mean score is nearly 32 points higher than the national average.
