Project Overview and Objectives

Project Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Tableau consultant to assist in developing an interactive and visually engaging Tableau dashboard that will present the collective work of over 100 consortium partners in a transparent, accessible, and meaningful way. The dashboard should highlight key metrics and outcomes related to the consortium’s impact on specific areas related to EDA priorities—such as economic development, job creation, infrastructure improvements, etc.

This RFP invites Tableau consultants to submit proposals to build, implement, and maintain a dashboard that meets the following objectives.

Primary Objectives:

-Visualize the Data: Create a compelling and user-friendly dashboard that communicates the results of the consortium’s collective efforts.

-Public Accessibility: The dashboard must be easily accessible to the public, stakeholders, and funding agencies. It should be embeddable on our website and accessible on mobile devices.

-Alignment with EDA Priorities: The dashboard must reflect the datasets and metrics valued by the EDA, including economic development indicators, job growth, infrastructure data, and other key outcomes.

-Data Interactivity: The dashboard should allow users to interact with the data (filter, drill down, etc.) to explore various metrics and performance indicators across different regions and timeframes.

-Data Accuracy & Integrity: The data presented must be accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with the original data sources, ensuring high data integrity.

-Scalability & Maintenance: The dashboard should be designed with scalability in mind, allowing for future updates, data additions, and adjustments as needed.

Project Scope

Data Sources:

The dashboard will integrate with data stored in Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP) and other relevant datasets provided by BioNexus KC and the consortium partners. The consultant will be responsible for understanding the data structure, transforming it where necessary, and integrating it into the Tableau dashboard.

Key Deliverables:

Needs Assessment and Consultation:

-Work with BioNexus KC and its consortium partners to gather data requirements, understand the goals of the dashboard, and identify the key metrics and KPIs to be displayed.

Dashboard Design & Development:

-Design an intuitive and visually appealing dashboard layout.

-Develop interactive Tableau visualizations, including charts, maps, and tables, to communicate the required data.

-Incorporate best practices in data visualization to make the dashboard informative and easy to interpret.

-Ensure the dashboard is mobile-responsive and embedded on our website.

Data Integration & Automation:

-Connect the Tableau dashboard to our existing data sources (Salesforce NPSP and other datasets).

-Develop any necessary data pipelines for regular updates, ensuring that data is refreshed and accurate on a schedule.

Training and Documentation:

-Provide training for staff on how to maintain and update the dashboard as needed.

-Deliver documentation on how the dashboard was developed, how to update data, and how to troubleshoot common issues.

Post-Launch Support:

-Provide post-launch support for a period of 2 months to address any issues, updates, or improvements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this project, the consultant must meet the following qualifications:

-Proven experience with Tableau development, including building public-facing dashboards.
