Project Overview
The KC BioHub is seeking an advanced cyber-security solutions partner to provide consulting on the setup and management of systems infrastructure. This vendor will create policies (general management statements) and standards (specific mandatory controls) for BioNexus KC including program specialty areas of KC BioHub and Digital Health KC. Vendor must be an expert in practices that are consistent with current industry best practices for cybersecurity, such as the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Cybersecurity Performance Goals (CPGs) and relevant privacy regulations.
The primary objective of this work is to ensure that the BioNexus KC and KC BioHub systems and critical infrastructure are protected against cyber-threats and breaches to minimize risk.
This vendor will create policies (general management statements) and standards (specific mandatory controls) for BioNexus KC systems and critical infrastructure. The vendor will provide a training session to BioNexus KC employees and critical stakeholders. The vendor will prepare an assessment communicating areas of greatest risk for threats and breaches for BioNexus KC.
Current systems environment includes Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, QuickBooks Online, Slack, Monday.com, ADP, Salesforce, WordPress, MailChimp, Zoom, Humanitix.

The consortium has led the effort to designate Kansas City as a Regional Technology and Innovation Hub. The KC BioHub consortium is a program of BioNexus KC.

Budget
BioNexus KC is a grant-funded, non-profit organization. The competitiveness of each bid will be a key criterion in our decision-making process. Bids should be competitive and scalable.
Proposal Guidelines
The proposal should demonstrate subject matter expertise and experience performing relevant scopes of work.
The proposal should include a more refined project timeline concurrent with the provided deadlines, a detailed budget, an explanation of elements a vendor would prioritize to help meet our primary objectives, and information about the firm and the team dedicated to this project, including backgrounds, experience working with similar organizations or coalitions, and examples of past work. All proposals should include a declaration of conflicts of interest if such conflicts exist.
Selection Criteria and Guidelines
All proposals will be assessed based on the following:
-Expertise of the team working directly on the project;
-Competitive pricing;
-Proven ability to deliver the elements described in project overview;
-Clarity on the project timeline;
Preference will be given to vendors who have relevant industry certifications.
Preference will be given to vendors who have experience working with the Department of Commerce and the Department of Homeland Security
Preference will be given to vendors located in the Kanas City Region who can demonstrate knowledge of the EDA Tech Hubs program.
