Annual Art Display and Online Auction Benefitting KC STEAM Programs Held at Linda Hall Library for Third Consecutive Year

Kansas City, MOBioNexus KC is excited to present the 2024 Science2Art exhibit at the Linda Hall Library. This free exhibit showcases stunning art created by scientists and is now open to the public. Art pieces will be available for bidding from October 2 to November 7, 2024, with proceeds supporting STEAM programs in the Kansas City area.

The Science2Art program not only highlights scientific discoveries but also contributes to the community through the annual online auction. To date, $160,000 has been donated to support STEAM programs across the KC region, further investing in the future of local research, art and education. Proceeds from the sale of Science2Art pieces this year will go to the Linda Hall Library; PREP-KC; Greater Kansas City Science and Engineering Fair; Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art; and FIRST Tech Challenge team at Blue Valley Northwest.

“We are excited to again partner with the Linda Hall Library to host the 2024 exhibit and advance this important initiative,” said BioNexus KC President and CEO Dennis Ridenour. “For the past decade, the BioNexus KC Science2Art program has blended science and art, offering the public an opportunity to explore the innovative work happening in our region.”

The Linda Hall Library is one of the world’s leading independent science research libraries. Through their collections, programming, learning resources, scholarly research programs, and collaborations, they bring science to life in new and relevant ways that help others better understand the world in which they live.

“The annual Science2Art exhibit is a perfect example of the crossroads of art and science that the Linda Hall Library regularly explores in our exhibitions,” said Linda Hall Library President Dr. Eric Dorfman. “We are honored to support the work that BioNexus KC does to breed innovation in our scientific community by hosting this exhibition for the third year in a row.”

Visitors to the Linda Hall Library are invited to experience the unique BioNexus KC Science2Art exhibit in the East Gallery during regular Library hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
