Maria has spent most of her career reviewing, developing, and implementing programming and policy focused on equity and inclusion through her work in health care and education. She is the founder and CEO of Equity In Motion Consulting, LLC (EIM). EIM is a legal and human capital consulting firm. Through EIM Maria focuses on matters involving diversity equity and inclusion (DEI), inclusion coaching, and corporate training in DEI, employment discrimination, harassment, and civil rights issues. Her clients leverage her experience as a former Chief DEI executive, plaintiff’s employment attorney, defense employment attorney, and a senior manager in civil rights compliance. She has significant experience training organizational leadership teams in equity and inclusion and employment matters in non-profit organizations, government, healthcare, and education. She has led organizations in transformational work through policy development and review, strategic planning, and programming. She is actively working with several organizations on approaches to advancing health equity.
