Dr. Gause is a physician executive leader and practicing orthopaedic surgeon who creates, delivers, and manages successful ideas and programs that support the transition to value-based care; to achieve the Quadruple Aim and facilitate healthcare organization financial sustainability. Dr. Gause spent 9 years in the C-suite at Great River Health, in Burlington, IA; serving in a variety of roles such as Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO), Medical Director of the Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation department and the Chief Physician Executive (CMO).

He currently serves as Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Vice Chair, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at  the University of Missouri – Kansas City and Medical Director, DEIB at University Health. He is further pursuing his passions which include promoting diversity in medicine/orthopaedics and EMR implementation/optimizations.
