Sprint Accelerator for Mobile Health Apps Opens in KC Crossroads

The Sprint Accelerator powered by Techstars is a three-month, immersive, mentor-driven startup accelerator for ten companies based in Kansas City. The focus is to help startups build the future of mobile health that changes the world one patient or consumer at a time.

The companies participating in the Sprint Mobile Health Accelerator are developing solutions that encompass hardware, software platforms, transformative services, big data and mobile applications. The teams are focusing on a wide range of markets ranging from animal health to hospitals.

The ten mobile health startup companies were selected from hundreds of applicants all over the world and officially started in the program on March 11. The teams will work out of the world class Sprint Accelerator facility located in the Crossroads, the heart of downtown Kansas City.

Sprint Accelerator

Mentors from all of the KCALSI stakeholders are being sought to work with the startup companies to enable their success and demonstrate the value of  the Kansas City area ecosystem.

As the #1 startup accelerator in the world, Techstars has selection rates lower than the ivy league and only invests in the best and brightest entrepreneurs. To date, Techstars companies have an astounding 90% success rate and have raised over $500 million in financing.
