Anita Newton is an angel investor, lifelong entrepreneur, and nationally recognized innovation leader whose career spans startups, high-growth ventures, and large enterprises, with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship, and community impact. She most recently served as Chief Innovation Officer at CommunityAmerica Credit Union, where she launched and led the organization’s innovation lab, driving human-centered product design, digital experience modernization, and scalable innovation practices.

Newton is a serial entrepreneur who has founded, led, and advised multiple startups. She was part of the leadership team at Zave Networks (acquired by Google), and co-founded Mighty Green Solutions, a consumer products company with distribution in Walmart, Target, and Sam’s Club. Newton began her career in marketing, leading major initiatives at Fortune 500 organizations including Sprint and Procter & Gamble, where she built national brand, digital, and go-to-market strategies.

A committed community leader, she is involved in many civic organizations including serving as a Trustee of the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation. She has received numerous awards including the ATHENA Leadership Award for her long standing mentorship and advocacy for women leaders.

She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas.
