Erin Merritt (she, her, hers) is a Principal Scientist and Capability Manager with MRIGlobal. Since her start with MRIGlobal in 2003, she has been involved with a large number of varied programs and research and development projects – ranging from high-throughput environmental analysis, immunoassay design, BSL-3 operations, and her favorite – microbiology. For the past 6 years, Erin has been leading the Mycobacterium tuberculosis Quality Assurance (TBQA) program – a NIH funded program focused on supporting the AIDS Clinical Trial Group (ACTG) consortia through Mtb research, technology evaluations, longitudinal data monitoring, study design, and more.
She serves a board member of the local Maryland chapter of the Graduate Women in Science (GWIS) group and serves as co-leader of MRIGlobal’s Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Committee. She is passionate about mentoring and fostering a more inclusive climate in STEM, and beyond.
